We all need a friend we can talk to about anything. But it’s not always easy to find people who are willing to open up about pretty much anything. Allow me to be that friend. This is a podcast where no topic is off-limits, and we swap judgment for aiming to understand and relate to each other. Let’s just talk about life--the messy parts, and the pretty parts, and the in-between. We’ll talk self-love, mental health, relationships, body image, and so much more! Have a topic you wanna bring on? Pitch your idea to me over on Instagram @laurenmkendrick.

Bonus: Conversations with my Fiancé about Race

Tensions are high in America as we become further divided on who to vote for in the upcoming election, whether or not to wear a face mask, and oh...do Black Lives Matter??
In this bonus episode I sit down with my fiancé Jason, and have a difficult conversation about race. But this isn't new to us...as an interracial couple (he's Black, I'm white) we've been having a lot of these conversations lately.
And while these conversations may be uncomfortable, intense, and time-consuming...they're important. We both find it important to educate ourselves and open our eyes to a variety of beliefs, experiences, and research.
This episode should not take the place of your own education or research, nor should you assume that Jason's experience of a Black man in America is the only valid perspective.
I recommend that you continue to form your beliefs on this topic, and take whatever action you feel is necessary based on what you discover along the way.
Our goal with this episode is simply to share our experiences, opinions, beliefs and highlight other perspectives we've been exposed to. Thanks for listening!
