We all need a friend we can talk to about anything. But it’s not always easy to find people who are willing to open up about pretty much anything.
Allow me to be that friend. This is a podcast where no topic is off-limits, and we swap judgment for aiming to understand and relate to each other. Let’s just talk about life--the messy parts, and the pretty parts, and the in-between. We’ll talk self-love, mental health, relationships, body image, and so much more!
Have a topic you wanna bring on? Pitch your idea to me over on Instagram @laurenmkendrick.

"Coach". Does this word make you roll your eyes?? If it does, it might be because you feel bombarded with opposing messages from all types of coaches but you don't quite understand what they do.

#1-You'll have to listen to the episode to find out what it is!
#2-This is one of my favorite topics!! (I'm surprised I haven't talked about it yet on the podcast)
This week we're talking about intuitive eating. What is it?? (Hint: Not the "hunger/fullness diet) What's my experience with it?? Who is it for?? What are the basic principles?? How can it change your life??
All of those questions will be addressed in the episode! This topic is deeply rooted, and complex so if you have any questions about it please reach out! You can either join the Facebook Group, or DM me on Instagram @laurenmkepler.

Ep. 64: Stop the Negative Self-Talk!
Dec 9, 2019
Dec 9, 2019
21 min
Have you ever paid attention to how you speak to yourself?? Sometimes it can be horrifying to realize how mean we are to ourselves! The next question is...would you ever speak to someone else that way?? And unfortunately, sometimes the answer is YES!
Criticizing, gossiping, and talking down to ourselves and others has become such a normalized part of our society. But imagine if we shifted that paradigm?? What kind of world could we create if we chose to speak love and power into ourselves, and those around us??
In this episode I share my thoughts on where our bad habit of negative self-talk stems from, the one realization that helped me transform the way I treated myself, plus some other ideas on how we can start to bring the best out in ourselves and others.
Ready to change the world with me?? Let's do it!

Ever feel like it's your responsibility to make others happy? Or better yet...like it's your responsibility to make sure you don't upset anyone??
I grew up with an amazing mother, who always put everyone else's needs above her own. So what did I learn? To also put everyone else's needs above my own.
Not only that...but I also learned to not "rock the boat", or upset anyone. So I spent a lot of my years walking on eggshells, absorbing everyone else's opinions, and people-pleasing my way through relationships. It's no wonder that I had no idea who I was until my mid-twenties.
And then one day I learned this concept...I don't have to be everything to everyone. I'm allowed to upset people by just being myself, or speaking my mind. And guess what?? Their feelings are their responsibility. Not mine to take on.
When I learned to set boundaries, and stopped spreading myself thin...things changed. I got to discover who I really am. What I believe...what I love...what I don't love...and it was such a liberating experience.
But it can be hard, especially as women, to release the idea that we should be able to "fix", or "save" everyone around us. So on this episode of the podcast, I'm sharing the ways in which lacking boundaries stifles your joy, negatively impacts your health, and holds you back from your biggest dreams. And most importantly...I'm gonna teach you some mindset shifts and tips for detaching.

One of the fears we have when we start to improve ourselves is outgrowing the friendships and the people that mean so much to us. So what do we do when we start to level up in our lives, and the people we love don’t understand?
I share my thoughts on this in this week’s episode of the podcast, plus some tips and advice on how to find and engage with others who force you to level up.
This is a topic I’ve struggled with in the past, and still continue to struggle with...which is exactly why I felt compelled to share my thoughts! I imagine it’s something you’ve struggled with as well, and maybe you’re also looking to build more inspiring and growth-oriented friendships? I’m with you on that!
I’d also love to hear your thoughts on this topic, so please reach out to me on IG @laurenmkepler.

This episode is a bit more strategic than my usual episodes where we talk a lot about feelings (but we will still talk about feelings, of course). This week I'm sharing with you how I plan and execute a successful week.
I share exactly what my morning and evening routines look like, what factors I take into consideration when I plan out my weeks, and more importantly...what a "successful" week even looks like to me.
So if you're interested in living and planning with more intention and leading with heart, then you'll love this episode! And don't forget to grab a free copy of the Ultimate Guide to Achieving a Work/Life Balance (also mentioned in the episode)

Ep. 60: Embracing the Storm
Nov 11, 2019
Nov 11, 2019
12 min
Life is full of ups and downs. It's the seasons, and the ebbs and flows that keep us moving forward. Like riding a wave. We LOVE the ups, but we have a hard time embracing the downs.
In this "motivation Monday" episode I'm sharing my experience in feeling down, and overwhelmed. It's something that used to trigger feelings of unworthiness within me, and pull me into a downward spiral.
I've changed my perspective, and learned that my lowest points have taught me the most. I've learned to see them as being beautiful, and even necessary.
If you'd love some inspiration on how you can "embrace the storms" in your life, then you'll love this episode!
Enjoy :)

Ep. 58: 3 Ways Perfectionism Holds me Back
Oct 30, 2019
Oct 30, 2019
36 min
Last Monday I was driving home from a trip to California, feeling fine. Nothing was wrong. And then...all of a sudden, by Tuesday afternoon I was completely burnt out. So I spent the rest of the week barely being able to move. Not wanting to run at all. Accidentally taking almost a 3 hour nap, when I had only planned to rest for 30 minutes.
I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was going on...so I took some time to reflect on it. And I realized that for the past few weeks I had fallen back into a trap of perfectionism. It was showing up in a new way for me, a more evolved way than before.
It caused me to ultimately burn out because I was just pushing, pushing, pushing. And I was feeling guilty for resting. So I wasn't really giving myself time to recharge.
One of the biggest indicators of my perfectionist tendencies is when I burnout. To be honest, I have to listen to my own podcast often to remind myself to give myself more grace, and show up with more self-compassion.
Do you ever just feel like there's something broken in you? Like you're the only one who needs downtime? Or like...you feel like everyone around you just has it all together, and you're somehow failing? Because it's so easy for me to slip into a comparison mindset. Which then makes me feel like I'm "behind"...and that's usually when my perfectionist tendencies show up the most.
In this episode I'm sharing with you a few of the ways that perfection has held me back over the years (and showed up in the sneakiest of ways)...plus I'm sharing how I've been able to make the mindset shifts necessary to re-center and connect with myself.
