Not only is this an important reminder for you, but it's also a crucial reminder to myself.
I keep getting caught up in "perfectionist mode". I still get stuck on the idea that if I can't do it all, then I should do nothing at all.
So consider this episode a *loving* kick in the booty for us both, and a great reminder that small progress adds up to big results!

As I write this, I'm on a flight across the country to attend a weekend long conference full of women I've never met. Who even am I?!
If you had asked me 5 years, or even 2 years ago if I could imagine myself doing something like this, I'd probably say "yeah right!"
But here I am, stepping out of my comfort zone for what feels like the thousandth time so far this year.
Why am I torturing myself, you ask?? Because I got tired of playing small. I'm fed up with imagining a life that feels so far off in the future, but never feeling like I'm getting any closer to that dream life.
It finally hit me this year that to become the person I want to be, to make the impact I want to make, and to get where I want to be in life...I'll have to start stepping out of my comfort zone a lot more often.
In this episode, I'm sharing how I psyche myself up for taking a risk, and how it's made a difference in my life. Enjoy!

I used to jump from diet to cleanse, to meal plan...you name it, I probably tried it.
But all of them failed me. Notice how I don't say "I failed"?? There's a reason most people can't stick to even the "gentle" meal plans. We're human beings filled with emotion, preferences, hunger, and so many other things that make it almost impossible to eat exactly how someone else has mapped out for us.
When I get asked for advice (and I get asked often) on being "successful" with keto, Arbonne cleanse, and more...my answer isn't simple, but it's almost always the same.

Has there ever been a time that you felt uncomfortable in your body? Most of us have experienced that feeling in one way or another.
What did you do about it? Society often sends the message that if we were just a little (or a lot) skinnier, we would feel more confident. Why is that? Because we've learned to tie our worth into the size of our bodies.
I'm not anti-weight loss, and I'm definitely pro health, but confidence comes from a much deeper place than our outside appearance.
You may gain temporary confidence as a result of becoming smaller. But that confidence is fleeting, because it relies on a number or size, and let's be real...weight fluctuates all the time.
So what's the solution? To work on building a deep inner confidence that stays regardless of how you appear on the outside, which is what we'll be covering in this episode.

As I recorded this episode, I was mourning the 6 month departure of the love of my life. This isn't the first time we've been apart, and it won't be the last, but it's never easy.

Summer is right around the corner, and I KNOW you’ve been hearing the talk about getting your bikini body on, and there’s so many advertisements out there for cleanses, diets, weight loss programs…
And if you know me well enough by know, then you know that I’m not gonna teach you how to eat keto. Or how to stick to your juice cleanse. Or any of the conventional weight loss tips. BUT I do know that weight loss is important to you. Or at the very least, it’s something that’s on your mind. And I know that if I were to deny that, you would move onto the next person that told you weight loss was possible for you. So I want to help you as much as possible, in the most holistic and long-term way I possibly can.

We need to talk about your self-love game, my love. And we’ll start by taking a quick inventory of how you’re treating yourself right now. As I go through a few questions, think of the answer to yourself. Just be honest, and leave out the judgment. That’s part of the self-love process. If you’re not being nice to yourself right now, you can always change that. And it starts now! So here are my questions for you:
- Are you speaking to yourself in a kind, encouraging way? Or are you belittling yourself often?
- Do you feel like you’re your biggest fan, or your biggest enemy?
- Do you feel like you can’t trust yourself, or do you feel like you’re the only person you can trust?
These are just some of the questions to get you thinking about the relationship you have with yourself, and to get you started on setting some goals to strengthen the relationship you have with yourself. I think we all could strengthen that relationship, especially because it’s one of the most important relationships in our lives!
